Back in the land of the living…

Okay, so I am ashamed to admit that it has been (according to my last post) six days since I last said anything here.  Please forgive me.  I was blindsided on Monday with the fact that I will now have to look for a job.  While I knew that my team was losing a teacher next year, I never, NEVER, thought it would be me. (thought maybe it would be the teacher who curses his students and has no classroom management or the other that has missed so many days that I don’t think he/she has any left.   The excuse I received was just as hard to hear as the news that I would not be recommended for rehire.  Well, after a few days while the shock wore off…I realized that another job will waiting for me and hopefully closer to home.  I currently drive approximately 138 miles a day.  Now, about those gas prices…you get the point.  I just dread the thought of filling out the endless applications and going to the interviews.  Such is life.  I am a believer that one door does not close without another one opening.

So, Monday set me back a little and I apologize.  I have been checking my reader daily and visiting my SNS (myspace) frequently.  I will post more on that later.  I feel a little out of the loop for some reason and will need to get to reading the Stoll book.  I had read the introduction a few weeks ago, but haven’t picked it back up since then.

  2. Angel, I am so sorry to hear about your job. I also hope that you will find one closer to home. I know what it is like driving a long way to work each day with gas prices raising as they are it is getting worse. I too believe that as one door closes another opens, so hopefully you can focus on that!

This degree we are working on will make us all more marketable as 21st century teachers and learners! :-)

  3. I hope everything works out for you. I’m sure you will find a job by the start of next year.
